A new slate roof for a large two-storey corner building in a County Meath town centre.

The Job

About This Slate Roofs Job

A new slate roof for a large two-storey corner building in a County Meath town centre. Working from full scaffolding with the street open below, we stripped the old slates down to the roof timbers.

New battens went on across every slope of the hipped roof before we slated it, finishing with neat hips and a clean ridge line. The building now has a sound, even slate roof across every slope.

What We Did

  • Full scaffolding on a busy corner site
  • Old slates stripped to the timbers
  • New battens on every slope
  • New slates, hips and ridge
